2023 PROJECTS

December 2023: Investigation of a Possible Oil Residue Source

Land and Sea Surveying provided surveying services to support an investigation of a possible oil residue source during one of our latest projects. We surveyed the area using side scan sonar to collect images of any submerged debris or wreckage. Our WingtraOne drone was also utilized to collect high resolution photographs to create a geo-referenced aerial image of the entire project site, and to establish the location of the potential sheen.

November 2023: Rio Marine Drone and Bathymetric Survey

Land and Sea performed an aerial drone survey to obtain topographic data of Rio Marine in Martin County. We also performed a bathymetric survey using a Bombardier SEADOO Personal Watercraft to paint the bottom.

October 2023: Hydrographic Survey in Port Canaveral

Land and Sea provided hydrographic surveying services to support dredging activities in Port Canaveral.

October 2023: Subsurface utility investigation in Port Canaveral

Land and Sea performed a subsurface utility investigation of the areas of the proposed installation of new moorings. We used ground penetrating radar (GPR), electromagnetic utility locators (RD8100/RD8200) and vacuum excavation methods to locate and trace any existing utilities.

September 2023: Drone and Hydrographic Shoreline Survey

Land and Sea performed an aerial drone survey using the WingrtaOne drone to collect photogrammetric data and a hydrographic survey to support a shoreline stabilization project

September 2023: As-built and aerial drone survey

Land and Sea performed an as-built and aerial drone survey to support improvements for North Cargo Berth 4 at Port Canaveral.

August 2023: As-built survey

Land and Sea conducted an as-built survey of a newly installed electric line.

July 2023: Topographic survey at Eastern Florida State College

Land and Sea conducted a topographic survey in the Eastern Florida State College Titusville Campus. We located all aboveground improvements, aboveground utilities, and evidence of underground utilities.

June 2023: Communication Survey

Land and Sea surveyed communication manholes and performed utility locates. The project requires confined space entry into the manhole and gathering survey data through the use of RTK GPS systems and Total Stations.

June 2023: Elevation surveys at monitoring wells in SRWMD

Land and Sea provided services to establish NAVD ’88 elevations at 28 monitoring locations at the Suwannee River Water Management District.

May 2023: SRWMD Springs

Land and Sea surveyed and collected elevation data of some springs for the Suwannee River Water Management District using a singlebeam hydrographic survey system with RTK GPS positioning. We flew the site with a DJI Phantom 4 Pro drone and collected current high resolution aerial images and also dove each spring to collect underwater photographs.

April 2023: Hydrographic survey at Port Canaveral

Land & Sea Surveying used a multibeam and singlebeam hydrographic system to survey the pre- and post-dredge conditions of North Cargo Berth 3 at Port Canaveral.

March 2023: Bulkhead Replacement

Land and Sea provided surveying support for the replacement of the Southern Bulkhead of a project located on the Halifax River in Holly Hill.

February 2023: Sewer Line Locate

Land and Sea provided services to locate a new sewer line.

January 2023: Monitoring Well Survey

Land and Sea provided surveying services to support monitoring well locations.
